Effective September 2026. CostAveragingCalculator is a free tool. This policy explains exactly what does and doesn't happen with your data — including your position sizes, prices paid, and market-price entries, which many people consider sensitive financial information.
Every share/unit count, price, target gain percentage, and current market price you enter is processed entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript. There is no server-side processing of this data — this site has no database and no backend that receives, logs, or stores any figure you enter. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything. This is 100% client-side: nothing about your positions is uploaded or stored anywhere by us.
The "Save this calculation" and "Export as PDF" buttons are currently a UI preview for a future paid feature — clicking them does not save or upload anything yet, and no payment is collected. If and when that feature ships, any resulting "unlocked" status will be stored only as a flag in your browser's local storage on your own device, not sent to a server, and this policy will be updated first to describe it plainly.
Loading this page causes your browser to request the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that make up the site — an ordinary part of how any website loads. No position, price, or gain figure you enter is included in those requests.
This site uses standard, anonymous Google Analytics (page views, referrer, country, browser type) and Microsoft Clarity (anonymized heatmaps and session recordings of on-page interactions, used to spot broken UI, not to identify you) to understand overall usage. No ad pixels or cross-site tracking are used.
There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no personal data collection on this site.
